The aim of diaplous is to present articles and snippets of reality that do not receive much attention from the conventional media. It also serves as a personal exercise in reality reversing (i.e. locating the hidden meaning behind the titles and the sensation) of news-stories. We live in an era of confusion, characterised by the strugle of different forces pretending to dominate the world by the so called free trade policy. I feel and think that these actions, in the name of profit, are endangering liberty, basic human rights, national sovereignty while they help transfer of power to the few and of misery to the silent majority. Almost every day, one can read or hear, without considerable effort, a piece of news that shows exactly this process. The majority of the people in the "developed" world are too busy or too bombarded with the latest consumeristic (=slave) fashions and fads or too occupied with "the modern problems and anxieties of the well fed" to take notice. I will be posting on this website issues that have called my attention and which I feel that they are not addressed as much as they should. YOU are invited to send your input, which will be posted with the proper credit given. I can be contacted at cpdiaplous(youknowwhAT)gmx(afineDOT)net I will try to research and verify each and every piece that appears on diaplous, in any case a note will always exist stating the result of the verification efforts. The Internet is a wonderful tool of knowledge sharing, but it can be misused as well. |
